HOW TO BE CREATIVE, MAKE MONEY, AND DELIGHT PEOPLE

In the 1950's and '60's, I remember people coming to our door with an aerial photograph they had taken diagonally of our home and yard. Usually it would be framed and ready for hanging. Usually we would buy it, and the money they asked for would pay for the bit of fuel for flying overhead, the photo developing and enlargement, and the frame, plus some profit. If the homeowner didn't buy it, the seller would reuse the frame for a photo of someone else's home taken during the same flight.

Even if you don't have the opportunity to take aerial photos, many people would love to buy a nicely framed ground photo, a painting, or even a sketch, of their home. Many people are proud of their home and would enjoy seeing another person's rendering of it. And after seeing the work and care that went into such a rendering, they would feel guilty to send you away without buying the picture.

So if you like to draw, paint, and/or take photographs, here's an idea for you to both make money and delight people. And a homeless person could do this as well as a successful artist. Just a memory and a thought . . . enjoy.
