MICKI'S LASAGNA (from her Mother, Miji)
Ingredients:
-1 lb. ground beef
-1 can (24 oz.) Hunt's Pasta Sauce: Traditional
-1 container (24 oz.) small curd cottage cheese
-1 package (8 oz.) medium cheddar cheese, shredded
-1 package (8 oz.) mozzarella cheese, shredded
-grated Parmesan cheese
-lasagna noodles
1. Brown a pound of crumbled ground beef.
2. Drain out the fat.
3. Combine meat and one 24-oz. can of Hunt's Traditional Pasta Sauce.
4. Take a 13x9-inch pan, spread two tablespoons of the pasta sauce in the bottom.
5. Lay on top of that a layer of lasagna noodles.
6. On top of that, spread half a container (24 oz.) of small-curd cottage cheese.
7. Next sprinkle half an 8-ounce package of shredded medium cheddar cheese.
8. Then sprinkle half an 8-ounce package of mozzarella shredded cheese.
9. Then layer half of tomato and ground beef mixture.
10. Add a layer of noodles, and repeat steps 6,7,8, and 9.
11. Then sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of that.
12. Cook uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes until done.
Note: I use lasagna noodles that are ready to be cooked without boiling (easier), but used to use the kind you boil first.
