CONQUERING FEARS

  

       We're having fun with our pets.  After our four-year-old granddaughter Hazel at first didn't want to get near the giant Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches, she reached over and touched one, then went right to drawing a picture of one.

 

 

 

       And when her cousin Trinity came to our library and found out we had a tarantula in there, she said, "Nope...nope," as she made an about-face and walked away.  But this morning she returned and not only went into the library, but held our Mexican Golden Red-Rump Tarantula, Bugbear*.
 

       She said she was afraid of spiders before.  Now she wants a pet tarantula.  She approached her fear, and conquered it.
